First competition of the year...

All were happy campers at Blacklords’ when we bagged the U15 Men's Foil Gold (Nicky Ong), U17 Men's Foil Gold (Rory Lewis) and U20 Men's Foil Bronze (Jasper MacCuspie) at the first State competition last weekend. What a great start to the year!

We also celebrate all the other fencers who competed. Ava, Charlie and Thomas took on giants, fencing above their age against fencers nearly twice their height, and gave them a run for their money!! Brenton gave a most delightful and fun-filled bout with a victory to boot. Alex and Eva both fenced so very well despite not having done many competitions!!

We thank all the coaches and parents who were there supporting and cheering the fencers on. It was remarkable team spirit!
